Sweet Potatoes 

Sweet potatoes are high in fibre and potassium that help keep your blood pressure numbers in check, reducing the risk of stroke. It is full of antioxidants which can help prevent plaque buildup and lower your risk of stroke. You can easily incorporate it in your diet to avail the associated health benefits. 

Potassium-rich Foods 

A study published in the American Heart Association has found that eating more potassium-rich foods can lower stroke risk. The study stated that consuming high-potassium foods can decrease the possibility of an ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Leafy greens, sweet potatoes, peas, mushrooms, cucumbers, eggplant and pumpkins are some of the foods high in potassium.

Low-fat Dairy
